"Tens of specialized institutes in Islamic humanities active in Qom"

"There are tens of specialized institutes in Qom, Iran which focus on Islamic humanities. So many books have also been written on subjects such as Islamic economics," said head of Iranian seminaries' Office for International Relations. "One of the main strategies in seminaries is to promote international relations"

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani in Qom on Saturday April 29, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mofid Husseini Kouhsari made some remarks on their center's ongoing activities and asserted, " Our three new major strategies in the office are promoting international programs, media activities and establishing more connections with Iranian organizations."

 

Former representative of al-Mustafa university in Indonesia further added, "Thanks to the sincere efforts of all those who serve Iranian Islamic seminaries, there are currently 4-5 thousand seminary students in Iran who can speak foreign languages including Arabic, English, Urdu, French and Russian."

 

"Presently, seminary students are learning specialized courses on subjects such as economy, management, philosophy and hadith in addition to their regular formal courses."

 

"There are tens of specialized institutes in Qom, Iran which focus on Islamic humanities. So many books have also been written on subjects such as Islamic economics; Iranian seminaries have something to offer on every subject according to Islamic teachings," said the Iranian cleric.

 

Hujjat al-Islam Kouhsari also elaborated on the future plans of Islamic seminaries saying, "One of the main strategies in seminaries is to promote international relations; this includes registering students from different countries and currently al-Mustafa international university is offering educational programs to foreign students."
